Publishing great prompts is only half the story—the other half is withdrawing your earnings once you've accumulated enough.

This article explains, at a high level, how getting paid works for authors on BetterPrompt.

1. Build up your earnings

Before you can request a payout, you need to have:

• Published one or more prompts.
• Accumulated author earnings from user runs (you earn 10% of the AI cost per paid run).

You can track your current earnings and balances in your Author Dashboard.

2. Meet the minimum payout threshold

To keep payouts efficient, there is usually a minimum $10 payout amount (for example, a specific token or currency value).

• Check the threshold shown in your payout or earnings section.
• Once your balance meets or exceeds that amount, you'll be eligible to request a payout.

If you're below the threshold, keep building and promoting your prompts until you cross it.

3. Set up your payout details

Before your first payout, you may need to:

• Provide basic account or identity information, depending on your region and local requirements.
• Connect your bank account with Stripe, our trusted payment partner in handling author payouts.

Follow the on‑screen instructions carefully; incomplete or incorrect details can delay payment.

4. Request a payout

Once you're eligible:

• Go to the payout or earnings section of your Author Dashboard.
• Confirm the amount you want to withdraw (often your full available balance).
• Submit the payout request.

You'll typically see an estimated processing time and status indicator for each request.

5. Track payout status

After requesting a payout:

• You can view the status (e.g. pending, processing, completed) in your dashboard.
• Once completed, the funds should appear in your chosen payout destination.

If something looks wrong, such as a payout taking significantly longer than expected, check any help or support links, or submit a support ticket, we'll help you sort it out.

• Keep your contact and payout information up to date.
• Monitor your earnings and payout history periodically.
