Your Run History
BetterPrompt keeps a history of your runs so you can review, download, and refine on past work.
This article explains how run history works and how to use it effectively.
What is stored in history
For each run, BetterPrompt typically records:
- Which prompt you used.
- The inputs you provided.
- The output returned by the AI model.
- Basic metadata such as how long it took to run and how much credit it costs.
This makes it easy to revisit your AI results quickly.
Viewing past runs
- Open your History section from the sidebar or Quick Access button.
- Scroll or filter to find a particular run based on:
- Prompt type.
- Model.
- Source: filter inputs from your own prompts or someone else's.
Select a run to see its details and outputs.
Reusing inputs from a past run
When you open a run:
- Review the inputs and output side by side.
- Here you can:
- Check out the prompt with "View Prompt"
- Make adjustments to tune it more to your needs with "Refine output"
- Run the same prompt again, with different inputs with "Run again"
This is especially useful for recurring tasks like weekly reports, outreach templates, or periodic content.
Managing your history
You can manage your history with additional options:
- Delete run: Remove the inputs and outputs from our system.
- Change visibility: Toggle between public and private visibility for your runs.
- Quickly Download or Copy the outputs to reuse somewhere else.
Use history as your personal log of what has worked well, so you can quickly get back to productive states without starting from scratch.
